After recording, I have a tape that kicks into Fast Forward. It didn't do this the first time I played it but started doing it when I fast forwarded through a commercial. It doesn't do this for the entire tape - only the first few hours; then it plays fine. Any fix for this?
Tired playing it back in SP & SLP but it didn't make a difference. Was recorded in SLP mode. Any other ideas?

Check that you havent recorded the tape on extended play. If you play the tape back at the normal speed then it will appear as though it is being viewed at a faster rate.
