ive been experiencing over heating problems with my suzuki liana. it started when i flushed the system to add anti freeze..ive topped my radiator and expansion tank up several times since but it stills boils over and loses all the water...someone said there may be a air bleed screw on the engine somewhere to get rid of air blocks..is this the case and if so where is it located..if not can anyone advise me on what to do
Hi friends. if the liana engine was overheated very extremly , which make head gas kit ( a seal between head and assembly ) is burned or damaged. replace it and make the face of head if needed. your over haeting will be solved perminantly until the next extreme heatup.

Could the original poster confirm if Dann's advice worked. I am facing a similar problem on my Suzuki Liana where the coolant boils over and fills and eventually overflows from expansion tank.

went for a 300 mile motorway drive yesterday and dashboard heater gauge did not show engine overheating,however when i stopped for break at service station there was water running from underneath car..looked under bonnet but no signs of leakage ????? will try the pouring water into hose thing and see if it repairs the problem.thanks Dann

Locate the heater hoses, there will be two about 3/4in dia. They pass through the bulkhead behind the engine. With the engine off and cool disconnect the uppermost hose at the engine end. Hold the end of the hose up as high as possible and pour water into it. Keep pouring until all air bubbles stop coming out then quickly reconnect the hose to the engine. Run the engine with the heater controls on full hot. Eventually hot air should come out of the heater which means everything is ok. Finally check for leaks and top up coolant level when the engine has been off for ten minutes.
