Mend Idesit IDE1000 Salt Light Stays

Idesit IDE1000 dishwasher salt indicator light?

My Idesit dishwasher salt indicator light stays on all the time indicating that it is low on salt. This is not the case and it is consuming the salt at its normal rate. Does anyone know the problem and how to fix it?
