the wheel is going round but not moving the bobbin to pick up the thread or sew.

Hello Maureen,
If the balance wheel is moving but the machine is not, try turning the stop motion in the middle of the balance so it is tight then the machine will work, if this is not the problem send me an e-mail with more detail.
