Mend Volvo V40 1.9D Car Appears Help

How can I cancel the service indicator light on my V40 1.9D?

As I now service my car myself, I want to cancel the service indicator that appears every time i use my V40. Can anyone help.

Hi Jeff there are two methods depends on year of car
up to 1999
switch ignition on press and hold in trip reset button for 12 sec's service indicator will flash release trip reset button within 4 sec's an audible signal when reset
2000 +
switch ignition off
press and hold in trip reset button
switch ignition on keep button held for 10 sec's
service indicator will flash
release button within 4 sec's
an audible signal when reset
If reset button is not released within 4 sec's the service indicator will not be reset but will stop flashing
