Mend Toshiba 50H13 Picture Screen Hdtv

How do I get the received picture to fit the screen?

I have a 50" Toshiba 50H13 HDTV and the received picture is too large for the screen. Top of heads are cut-off and any wording at bottom of screen is also cut-off in addition to the font size being too large. It's as if it is set-up for someone that is challenged with their vision and needs the picture enlarged. It is the same for all picture viewing options, ie; theater wide, natural, etc. Thanks for your assitance.
