Do the above, if the smoke persists after an hour or two, flush ou the carb, intake and exhaust system with suitable cleaners (Not water), change the spark plug and change the air filter as this could have become contaminated!

Drain out the oil, either all of it if it hasn't been changed for a while, or just drain the excess out until the level comes down to maximum on the dipstick/sightglass. If you have drained all the oil out, change the oil filter also (if fitted) and refill with fresh clean oil to the maximum level. You might find the engine will still smoke for a while but it will get better as it burns off aby residue oil.
