Mend Weed Eater Fuel Carburetor Trimmer

How to install a new fuel line into a Weed Eater Trimmer?

How do I get the small fuel line that connects to the carbureator through the bottom of the fuel tank and then to the filter? I have retrieved the filter and line from inside of the tank but I can't get the new line to pass through the small hole at the bottom of the fuel tank.

I inserted about a 4" length of trimmer cord in the open end of the fuel tubing opposite the filter (fits perfectly). Then, feed the fuel line through the gas cap opening. The trimmer cord is firm and long enough to thread through the hole at the bottom and pull the line through. Then just remove the trim cord section. Viola!

You must cut the fuel line at an angle. Push it through from the outside through the small hole. Its a little hard to start but it will go. Push enough new line through so it will come out the fill cap hole. Cut the end of the line square again and install the filter. Pull the line back through so the filter lies on the bottom of the tank.
