Mend Working Checked Fuse

why have the light fittings in my kitchen stopped working?

We replaced the bulbs, no joy, checked the fuse, its fine, checked the wiring in the switch, fine, checked the wires coming out of the ceiling, live when switched on, off when switched off. Assumed it must be the fittings so we got new rose and pendants to try, still not working. I dont understand, do you?

DON`T just use a "neon" or "electrical" screwdriver - not only are they dangerous, they`re also misleading as you`ve discovered. If Pete is correct, and neutral is down, you should get a qualified sparks in to locate the problem.

Have you checked to see if you have neutral supply in the light fittings as well as the live, I suspect that is the problem
