how to change the start,stop knotb on a hot point washer machine?

my washer machine has the start & stop knob & is worn out & it wont turn like it used to..hot piont mod;vbxr1070woww

Hotpoint Hotpoint VBXR1070WOWW Household Appliances, Washing Machines Hot Machine Start

if you pull the knob out behind the knob is a plastic keeper, all you have to do is use a small screwdriver to seporate the ends and push it out then the knob will pull off easily. if you have and questions or want me to send you a picture send me an e-mail to dwduck26@aol.com
