My Rover P-Reg 220 SDI has lost power and the engine management light has come on it still drives but now has a top speed of around 50mph and has no acceleration. I’ve checked the hoses and wires and can’t see anything amiss. Is there a way to access the diagnostics system without buying one of the hand held units? Or has anyone got a suggestion what could be wrong.
you need diagnostic gear but the 16pin obd socket (does exist i have the same model ) is located just behind the centre console i have had launch machine on car it has hardware and software but it does not communicate with engine ecu....
