Try changing the Positor it is a little black 3 pin component about 1/2" cube. Probably with this number on it "MZ73B-14M" or similar. I did on my 28" and it works fine now. I got mine from a local electronics shop. cost about £4

most likely fault is the tube if there is a lot of green in the background
