flow indicator?

The flow indicator is not moving. I have water in the compartment. What do I need to do? This is the Bissell Pro Heat model.

Your machine needs to be primed. Remove the shampoo bottle if it's inserted ,turn the water knob to water only, hold the trigger and turn the machine on, turn the water knob from water only to to high traffic four times and stop on high traffic, insert the shampoo bottle , press trigger for one minute, cut it off and hold trigger for 30 seconds. This works for the carpet cleaning but not for the upoulstry cleaner part.
