how do i program new remote key fob for ford transit connect?

Is this for the old Transit, or the redesigned small one?

When I do that on my Transit Connect, the doors do not cycle.. any idea what might be wrong??

turn ignition key on and off 8 times in 10 seconds doors will lock then press your button to open then fob is reset

Get in the van and close the doors,turn the igntion on (postion 2) then off 8 times.On the 8th turn on the door locks will cycle,at this point press any button on the new key fob,the door locks will cycle again.Turn the igntion off again ( locks will cycle again) The key fob should now work.
