my ryobi strimmer is fine when cool but keeps cutting out when warm?

Hi, ive just had this problem with my flymo maxi there are 2 likely reasons, forgive me for stating this one but it could be your fuel/oil mix is incorrect ,the second is your carburetor is possibly in need of a good clean .The problem you have is ,if your getting someone to maintain your strimmer the labour costs almost make it more worthwhile to just go out and buy a new machine !
