Mend Peugeot 106 1998 Car

how do i fix my peugeot 106 look2 1124cc (1998)?

i have a fuel starvaton issue on my pug 106 look 2,, the car refuses to idle comfortably at any time and also has constant flat spots throughout the gears during acceleration,, the instant the vehicle coasts to a junction etc and the brake is applied (foot removed from acc' pedal) the car begins to idle very aggresively then drops down to a shaky stop,, or upon continuing to drive it will kangaroo until it settles down to a regular drive,, where the flat spots are very noticable,, even pumping the accelerator seems not to clear untilm suddenly and for no apparent reason it will begin to drive normally again..
I have been advised to take off the air filter and injector cover and check for sediment and dirt,, which i have done to no avail,, even cleaned the rubber seal and pins on the head of the injector, the fuel filter seems illusive to me ( i cant find it) and i am at a loss,, where should i be starting from to remedy this problem and where would i locate the filter if neccesary

If you wish to replace the fuel filter, you will find it mid way along the passenger side underneath the car, located right next to the side skirts.

Forgot to add, does this car have the all in one coil pack over the spark plugs?

If it does & its made by Sagem I suggest you replace it with the new modified part.

ECU software can also cause stalling / loss of power, has the car had its software updated by a Peugeot dealer lately?

If your car has the Marelli IAW8P ECU then that is another thing to look at.

Fuel filter is normally tucked up inside one of the rear wheel arches, think its the drivers side ( but dont quote me on that )

Also have you cleaned the idle control valve?

2 x torx 20 screws, dont lose the O ring, pop it out & also clean the air bypass hole the plunger slides in to ( dont try & take the valve apart, they break if you do )

Also have a look at the throttle butterfly & inlet, if thats dirty give that a good clean out with some carb cleaner, go gentle & dont scratch the metal of the inlet or butterfly.

Coolant temp sensor is also a well know failure point on these TU lumps, a new sensor is under £15 from Peugeot & about 5 minutes to fit.
