no central heating?

have got hot water but no central heating only when hot water on could it be the 3 postion diverter valve on my system it is a honewell system 3 postion valve is make V4073A162

Has the valve got a lever on the motor, if so slide it to the right then try heating if it works u can replace the motor without replacing the valve.
