Mend Peugeot 406 Coupe

How can I fix the door restrainer on my Peugeot 406 Coupe (year 2000)?

The driver's door has a restraining metal arm between the hinges which is intended to hold the door open in two positions - half and full open. It appears to be broken as it no longer engages at these positions. It does still prevent the door from opening past its maximum however.

Please remove this question - the only way to fix this is to buy a new restrainer strap, which is what I have done.
