Mend Sony Car Head Unit

Added Sony CD Changer, No Sound?????

I have just added a sony cd changer to my car. It is connected to my sony head unit using the control bus and RCA audio connections. Head unit indicates changer is working aok, changes cd's, tracks etc. and shows tracks are playing, but there is no sound.
I have verified changer audio outputs are working and cable is good.
Any help here would be much appreciated.
The head unit is a mdx-ca680x and the changer is a cdx-424rf.
Thanks. :-)

Thanks for the reply Paul.
I have been able to get everything working by disconnecting the wire that turns on the power antenna and, instead, connecting the wire meant to turn on an optional power amp (which I don't have) to the power antenna. Now everything works but the antenna is always up, whether I'm playing the radio or listening to a minidisc or a cd. The antenna is only supposed to be up when the radio is playing. Not a big deal, but I just like things to work the way they were meant to.

Does anyone know if there is a way to connect my power antenna wire properly and somehow connect the power amp wire so that I have sound when playing a cd??

Thanks a bunch!
Shayne

Hi, I have a Sony unit that needs a Software code change to switch on inputs. You press a combination of buttons simultaneously and then you have a service menu to follow to activate functions. Hope this helps.atb, Paul
