indesit omega 1000,cant get door opened?

these doors have a time delay, if you pull too hard on the handle during this delay period you will break the handle. If the handle is broken you need to remove the top cover, by remove 2 screws at the rear of the machine. Once you have the lid off looking down on the right hand side, about half way to the floor you will see a plastic rectangular bracket, you will need to push the metal arm to the left with a screw driver, this will pop open the door. You will then need to replace the handle assembly
