I've had the same problem with my washer. The problem is due to a sensor, wich is placed on the rear end of the electrical motor. It senses in wich direction the motor turns. Just replace the sensor(just one little screw and a connector to disconnect). Or if you can get your hands on a second hand motor replace it completely.(might be cheaper ;) )
