Samsung RS21 US Style Fridge-Freezer?

Ignore that clown with the atsscotland link. I got the motor for £26.99 plus £5 p+p from a seller on eBay.

He (atsscotland) wants £ 129.99, + £14.99 p+p. Although it is a kit, I wouldnt be surprised if the motor is the main part of the kit. He incidentally fails to mention what else is in the "kit".

The minute anyone wants that sort of money for posting something out it rings alarm bells. He is making so much money on the part yet is so greedy he wants to rip you off for delivery too.

By holding the top two buttons in on the face panel for 8+ seconds will make the unit go into Diagnostics mode & give you the error/solution !

forget all the sensors the problem is a design fault on the fan motor after a while it works intermitently get a new fan motor from 4mysamsung.co.uk part no drep3020la cost about £32 with postage regards richard

Refrigeration engineer fixed my fridge freezer today, I had same problem. He replaced heat pad in lower part of fridge (there is also another one at top of fridge) - part can be ordered on internet - looks like a piece of foil paper with two wires coming out of it to a connector block. He said this is a very common fault with Samsung fridges after they pass two years old (when warranty runs out!) My fridge is running fine now.

common fault is ice build up around fan motor. removing fan and defrosting will solve this. fridge defrost heaters often fail usually around 2yrs old,this can cause ice build up around evaporater coil and stop air flow,if this is the case call an engineer to solve this problem.

hi michael,
exactly the same problem as mine. if you look around the internet you will find hundreds of people with the same problem. been waiting 2 weeks now for mine to be repaired.
