my820/20 only gives hot water whenc/h on help?

my 820/20 only gives hot water when c/h is on can this be self repaired or do you know why

I found out what boiler it is , its a ravenheat and it probably will be the diapragm in the divertor valve

Give us a clue on the make of the boiler ???. Some combi boilers have a diagphram which turns on the boiler when you turn a hot tap on , these diaphragms split so the boiler doesnt fire up when you want hot water . Does the boiler do anything at all when you turn a tap on when the heating is off????
