How can I change my lawn mower cord?

My dog chewd my lawn mower cord off and I want to know how can I change the cord. Craftsman 7.0 horsepower model 917.378644. Please help so I don't have to pay o lot of money for somthing I can do. Thanks !

Craftsman Craftsman 917.378644 Garden Tools, Lawn Mowers Lawn Mower Craftsman Repair

You will need to take housing off .....pull old cord out and disguard
rewind coil and hold in place with a pair of vice grips
insert cord and tir off in hole that rope came from and let off vice grips while holding fixture and let rope rewind in housing
