how do i fix the automatic oiler on my craftsman chainsaw?

the problem is the autamatic oiler is plastic under the bar if you take the cover off then take tit he metal cover off you can get to it the problem is it is plastic and strips out nothing big i have found out in the winter you need to keep the oil a little thiner than normal i do it to all my oil in the winter just add about a half cup of gas to the gallon of bar oil the oil is to thick in the winter with out when you first add oil to the saw in the winter and it will get hot and strip as i anwser your question i am ordering my new peice off the internet from craftsman i have not used it sense winter
