I am stuck in zig-zag and can't get older Kenmore 1325 to straight stitch?

It may well be a very simple thing such as lack of oil, unscrew the top of the machine and take it off, oil the moving parts with very thin oil or WD40 and you will probably find that will be ok, sometimes on older machine any existing oil on the machine congeals and becomes like glue, when you take the top of the machine off waggle the zig zag lever about and you will see the part that needs oiling most, any problems you can contact me.
