Mend PhoneMate 8250 Manual Works Machine

Where can I find a user manual for PhoneMate 8250?

The telephone works but the answering machine will not record or play messages. E 1 (?) keeps showing in the window on the phone where the time is displayed. I have turned the power off and waited several minutes but nothing changes. It has worked great up til now.
