Mend Indesit Cooker Oven Faulty

faulty indesit?

we have a indesit cooker,I dont know the exact model,but when we try to put the oven on you have to hold the knob in for a while before you can let it go and the oven will stay on,also you cannot turn the heat up,it stays on low as long as you hold the knob in.
