igniter for indesit p40agb gas hob will not work?

i have an indesit gas hob model p40agb unfortunately i have lost the manual for it and would like to know how to fix the gas ignition section.

Would either of you be able to tell me the dimensions of this hob? I need to replace mine, and want to make sure that the new hob fits by choosing the same size, but I do not have the manual, and cannot find any details about it online. I am not able to measure it directly.

I also have one of these hobs plus the manual but there is nothing in the trouble shooting section about fixing the igniter.
