peugeot 206 hdi 2.0 hdi 01 headlights stay on smart wipers do not work?

The rain / light sensor needs to be set up to the cars BSI unit before it will work correctly.

Your car runs a CAN - VAN multiplexing system which is controlled by the BSI unit ( cars computer brain ) which in turn is software driven.

Take it to a Peugeot dealer with all the keys & blue security code card & get them to set the new rain / light sensor up & download the latest BSI / ECU software while there at it.

Where you 100% sure it was the rain / light sensor at fault in the first place?

It could have been an issue with the BSI unit, software of COM2000 unit.
