Where can I find an owners manual for a Craftsman Eager 1?

Somewhat similar situation here. (Though certainly not a first time mower.) Craftsman/Sears seems to be useless unless you want to shell out $5 for a manual. However, like me, I'm assuming it's mainly the engine part of the mower that concerns you. The engine on the mower I'm using is a Briggs and Stratton - took a bit to find the model/type of the engine (It's NOT on the sticker that looks like a model/SN sticker, but stamped on metal just over the muffler - had to watch the "How to find your model #" video on their site. http://www.briggsandstratton.com/

If your engine is a different brand, you'll have to check their site and investigate a bit. Remember, you're looking for their model #, not the mower model #.

You could try E-Bay or a Sears Service Center should have one.

Could anybody get me a owners manual or any information that i could use to fix the engine for a Eager-1 lawn mower which is a sears model 143996004.

You can order one through your local Sears parts and repair center. I have one that I got second hand and don't have a manual. It's a pretty straight forward mower. I was just at the parts center this afternoon to pick up a tune-up kit and finished it in time to mow before the street lights came on.

From searches on the Websites it appears to be an American lawn mower [perhaps you are too] as that's all that came up $ and pics of Americans. I found a help forum USA www.bobvilla.com register on that site and you may be lucky some one may be kind enough to e-mail a copy of theirs.
