Mend Ford Escort Van Flashing Light

how can i fit flashing relays in a 1995 ford escort van for indicator light?

Ford Escort Van 1995. Disel. Indicator lights not flashing. Have purchased flashing relay but dn't know where to put it. The part I bought is Intermotor Automotive Components no.58901 and on the actual, what looks like a plug, is LP0611

flasher unit is plugged into indicator switch-remove top steering cowling to gain access, you may have to remove switch, fastened by 1 screw
