Mend Craftsman 917.272350 Lawn Tractor Transmission

Craftsman Lawn tractor will not go above 2nd gear?

I have a Craftsman Lawn Tractor 917.272350 15.5hp. It has a manual transmission, At the end of last year it was hard to get it into 4th, 5th and 6th gear if I pushed the gear shifter hard it would work. This year I can not get it past 2nd. Any ideas?

When ever you change gears a shift rod moved to the next gear size ....had the same problem and had to disasemble and relube all gears ......so they would move ...
