Bosch WFF 2001 rinsing and spin/pump lights flashingn what is the problem?

open the pump as if to clean it, reach in to the impeller and move it up down sideways. You should get little to no movement. If there is movement it can stop the washer emptying mid wash and the cycle times out -flashing lights. Cure is a new pump about £25- 30. That is if you do it yourself.
