Mend Briggs & Stratton Engine Oil Overheating

Why is my mower smoking briggs and stratton?

Last weekend my mower with a briggs and stratton engine worked fine,today it sent out a lot of smoke and it got so hot that the paint on the engine case was peeling after about 30 seconds.I have not topped up the petrol or oil but there is sufficiant of both.I have not tipped it either,Does anyone have any ideas please.

Have you tipped your mower about lately? The fuel may have mixed with the oil somehow. Try changing the fuel and oil, and see how you go.
