no video showing just snow?

I have a color tv with buildt in vhs hq vcr, model 29 13" tv (16-421) and model 30 20" tv (16-422) optimus VHS

When I put in DVD, I see picture, have sound.
When I put in VHS tape, I have sound, no picture, just snow

what is the problem and how can I fix?

Video, Cassette Recorders Video Showing Just

Dirty or worn out heads is the usual symptom. The heads are very fragile so be careful cleaning them. An experienced tech should be able to tell, at the time of cleaning, if the heads are beyond their Use-by-date. It's interesting to see in for sale ads that video only has dirty heads. 99% of time they are worn out-beware.
