Mend Hotpoint Aquarius Cycle Wont Start

Why are my Hotpoint WD440 lights flashing but cycle won't start?

I've had my Hotpoint WD440 (Aquarius not Aquarius+) washer/dryer for 3 months, and when I switched it on yesterday, the On/Off lights flashed, along with the lights on the "Drying High Heat" and the "Creases" buttons. These lights continue flashing until I switch it off, but the machine won't do anything. Please help!

Got it working.
I'm using a fast wash programme K, which is a cold wash. I have not tried any of the other programme with a No Heat setting, it might work for a longer wash?
It looks like it might have something to do with the temperature setting. It can be used until you get it fixed.

Hi I dont know if this will help by my WD440 displayed flashing:-on/off, Drying high heat, Reduce Creases and time saver lights.

Cleaned out lower filter at rear of drum which was not really soiled. Still lights flashing

removed pressure switch at back of powder drawer and the clear tube along with the larger white tube near lower filter, found minor debris in white tube. Clear tube ok and no blockage, blew into pressure switch to check function and seemed ok but may have been jammed open circuit prior to me blowing, checked switch function with multimeter and seemed to require a fair blow to get to register closed circuit so adjusted screw on front of switch to reduce required pressure, refitted offending switch and voila all now ok

i believe this means that the filter is blocked - just got the same problem myself. you need to take the back off of the machine and remove the water pipe to get to the filter though
