I had a hole in my sofa and called around to get prices from leather repair shops. Alot of the quotes I got where more than the price of my sofa. Started looking from leather repair kits and found a company called www.MastaPlasta.com that sells leather patches you just stick them on. they come in different sizes and colours

depends on the initial damage as repairs night be needed before using leather conditioners etc. Maybe you could give more detail. If you still aren't happy with the finish then your best bet maybe to use a leather repair company like ourselves. http://www.servico-ind.com

I have a pool in my backyard and my kids messed up my leather seat cushions by sitting on them while stilol wet!!!
Looks like the chloriene in the water reacts with the leather colorig. I hired a local furniture repair company here in Houston www.sofa911.com and the technisian was able to match up my original cushion color. It looks great! you cant tell any work was ever done. You could also have a a uphostery company replace the entire panel.

Be careful if doing what Chris did! It would depend how long you've had the suite and if it is real hide and not leather faced (as most DFS sofas and the cheaper ones are) As Chris's leather sofa is over 20 years old it's probably the real thing as it's only in the past decade that the cheaper pieces have flooded the UK. If it is genuine hide try contacting Andrew Muirhead 0141 554 3724 they supply top quality hide for the automotive and furniture applications. Good Luck

We have a leather couch and loveseat that are sort of teal blue -- they were very high quality although now that they're 20 years old they look a bit dated. The 'wear' areas began to be rough and cracked and the colour was looking bad. I figured I had nothing to lose, so I took a cushion to the paint store and got an exact match in exterior latex (the paint guy said that was the most flexible paint -- although he was somewhat skeptical when I told him why I needed it!). Then I dipped a soft cloth in the paint and rubbed it in, round and round, and kept rubbing so that there was no 'edge' to it. It dried almost immediately because it was spread on very thinly and only really sunk in to the cracks. When I was done, it looked just like new (although still in the 80s style, unfortunately). I've done it a couple of times more -- about once a year -- and it still looks good. Of course if your couch is 'natural' this wouldn't help, but if it's dark brown or black or any other colour, you might find this helps. I was concerned when I started but figured it couldn't look worse -- and it ended up looking WAY better! Good luck.
