Mend Sony SCPH-70003 Mode Light Red

My SLIMLINE PS2 goes back into standby mode after 2 secs of GREEN light?

When I plug in my SLIMLINE PS2 the RED standby lights comes on.. When i switch it on, the RED standby light changes to GREEN to show it is switching on but then goes RED again (standby mode) after 1/2 sec's.. So i can't switch it on and use it??? Anyone else seen a similar problem as even afew specialists have no idea???

dude litsen u must take the battery out and keep it out for 1 day then,put it on and open the umd and siwtch it on
,if it still dont work inside the c d rom move the laser then im sure it will work , and charge it for eaxct 48 hors
