found answer at fixya.com. Must reset dishwasher into service mode and let it go through its test sequence. My model reset by entering sani rinse - heated dry - sani rinse - heated dry. Fixed mine first time. Also stated that you may have to step through service mode by using start button. I didn't need to do that although certain sequences of the service mode took a little time than others. GOOD LUCK
