My Indesit Evolution 1600 we16 is 4 years old. It suddenly developed a very nasty-sounding problem which occurs on the spin program as it passes about 300 rpm. It sounds as if there is a piece of loose rubble in the drum.
Given its age (and the fact that an insurance policy for repairs recently expired!) should I even think about asking someone to repair the machine or bite the bullet and get a new machine?
I do not regard myself as a competent person to do any repairs myself apart from changing a fuse!
Hello RG,
The same thing has just happened to my machine.Had a quick look on ebay and the bearing will cost under £20.fitting it though looks tricky its got to go into a cast iron spider and i do not know if this has got to be removed first.I bought a new zannussi.
