I have taken apart my Casio exilim ex-z850 and I am confident I can replace the cracked lcd display, but I am not prepared to pay Casio £90 to do a ten minute swap out, nor I cannot stomach their 'supply only' charge, which is in excess of £90!!
So all I need is a cheap source of the genuine part and I'm in business. Can anyone help?
I had a similar problem with a Casio Exilim model. I bought a camera of same model (or similar with same lcd spec) that was listed as broken on ebay. You can pick broken cameras up for next to nothing. Just search in ebay for 'Casio (your model) broken'
It is then a matter of dismantling the both cameras and swapping lcd screens.
Hope this helps

Ebay sells the LCD screens so you can replace it yourself! I just purchased one from seller prophotosd.

i noticed your question about the replacement LCD and wondered how you got on. this is the second time i have broken my lcd on an exlim exs500 and dont want to pay casio the £90 again. i am quite technically mined and wondered if you had any problems removing the lcd screen or if you sourced an alternative suppplier?
