Mend Vauxhall Omega Gearbox Oil Sump

how can i fix my vauxhall omegas leaky auto gearbox?

oil is leaking from a 50mm round apperture above small sump gasket. a cir clip holds what could be a seal in. What does this do and how can i fix it?
