baxi condensing boiler losing pressure?

I have a baxi condensing boiler and i am having a problem with the pressure gauge, it will not start up in the morning as the gauge has dropped to 0 bar, when i fill the boiler up via the loop to about 1.75 bar the boiler fires up and the central heating is then ok, but within the day when it comes to the time in the afternoon for the boiler to come on again the pressure has dropped to 0.5 bar but also i have noticedthe overflow pipe dripping outside at a rate of 2-3 drips a second please could anyone help me with this and give me some idea of what this could be much appreciated Antony

Hi, We had the same problem. The condensing pipe should only see a few drops of condensation when the boiler is running. However, ours was pouring out, the boiler showing error code E119 and eventually the boiler gave up the fight altogether! It is the heat exchange in the boiler (costly and generally fixable by Baxi engineer only). These boilers tend to have a 5 year guarantee, but only if you have it serviced annually. Our boiler is only 2years old?!! My advice, get a plumber to come and dust the boiler, which warrants as a service!! This will validate your warranty - call Baxi and get them to replace the unit UNDER WARRANTY!! Good luck, I know how miserable it is without heat and hot water.

if it is dripping from a white overflow pipe this is normal as it is doing this when the boiler condensates this pipe should be connected to a drain or soakaway
if it is a sealed system and dripping from a 15mm copper pipe then it is propably the pressure relief valve in the boiler is faulty and needs replacing.
if not then you have a leak on the system somewhere.
if you cannot find a leak try injecting leak sealer into a rad
also was the system flushed with an acidic chemical after the boiler was installed if so it may have damaged the heat exchanger and leaking directly from it into the condensate.
hope this helps ben
