how can i fix my television make is teac model ctf5170?

when i turnit on all i get is a vertical line across the screen

I have a similar problem but with a horizontal 1/4 inch picture instead of the vertical - any ideas if this is similarly fixable? Thanks....

Yep, that done it :)
Got the part from Force Electronics for $0.50 cent Aust
Looked a little different to the original part, though.
All is good :)

THE FAULT WILL BE A SMALL INDUCTOR L401 NEAR THE VERTICAL OUTPUT IC I AM NOT SURE ON THE VALUE OF THE INDUCTOR I JUST USE A 1ohm 0.5W FUSIBLE RESISTOR AND IT WORKS FINE
