Dryer won't heat?

The element is gone for sure. It looks like the one in your kettle. You can test in on a ohm meter it should read "0" ohms or near enough. It but the slightest chanch the element is ok there may be a thermistor connected in series to the element ( may look like a button with two wires coming from it around the size of a penny) this too should give a reading of "0" ohms. The third and final thing to check is some dryers have a thermal reset switch, these are normally on the rear on the dryer casing an have a small red button on them. You could check this has "0" ohms.
