Remove the dust collecting bin, turn the machine upside down and remove the sole plate, brush roller and brush roller housing, taking care not to damage the small flexi-hose.
remove the 3 star screws that hold the belt cover on.
slip the belt off the motor spindle.
remove the retaining plastic washers from each side of the machine and remove the upper part of the base from the chassis.
remove the 2 star screws from the front of the motor housing and 3 from the rear.
the motor housing will now seperate from the chassis.
you are left holding the motor housed in its pod.
it will still be attached to the chassis by the motor cable.
you must remove the end retaining cap from the side of the motor pod and prise the motor out of its pod (its a tight fit)
if you dont want to mess about, look on ebay for a motor still in its pod.
it is much easier to fit with a complete pod.
refit in reverse order.
hope this helps.
