Mend GE 1106P-C Dvd Player Play

Password reset?

My DVD player (GE model #1106P-C) does not let me play anything higher than PG. It asks me for my password, which I never created.

It's virtuall useless unless I can reset or eliminate the need for a password. GE's site is not helpful.

Reset Instructions GE1106P.

Press and hold the STOP button on the front panel. While
holding the STOP button, press and hold the front panel PLAY
button. After a few seconds, the "Select a menu language"
start message will appear on the TV screen while.
