Mend Keeps Turning Off After Turn

how can i fix my vcr? it keeps turning off right after i turn it on?

everytime i turn on my vcr, it turns right back off. i can't get the tape out. but i'm not as worried about that as i am that i use it for a cable box and need it to at least stay on. anyone with any suggestions? thanks!

The common cause of this is a worn p/b r/w Idler

the vcr is in shutdown as there is a drive problem. look for slipping belts especially in the underside, when you press eject.

you must post make and model number if you want specific help.
