My MP3 player will not recognise songs i download?`?

I have downloaded songs to my mp3 player that i bought on e-bay. I can play the songs the player came with but not the ones i downloaded to it?

If i run the songs from the player on to a PC i can play them there but not on the player itself? Any ideas?

you might have pulled out the mp3 player while is is transfereing which does exactly the same thing, i have done the same and need to know how to fix it

the songs may be in wma (windows media audio) format which some players wont play.
